    Hi Dalbuie,
no Chinese/Indian/Asian supermarkets here - the closest would be Coventry I guess, which is not convenient. Where would they get their chillies from do you think or know? I'll check out ebay and see if there any there.

    Many thanks!

Not sure where they would get them. Are you growing any yourself just now?

No Dalbuie - I did try to grow my own but fact is there is too much shade from very large lime trees in front of my windaes here in the heart of Rugby. I tried tomatoes too but to no avail. I have no garden as I live in a flat.

As I mentioned in a previous post somewhere, I have used on occasion a chilli grower based in Devon and have found their chillies to be great! But it is a little expensive with postage and stuff.

I think, like you, I would not dare to live without a chilli boost every day, at least at every main mealtime!

Where in Scotland are you Dalbuie?
I was born in Edinburgh and lived for some time in lovely Ayrshire. By eck, do I miss life in beautiful Scotland!!

Lived in Musselburgh for quite some time Dalbuie. I remember jumping off the pier there as a kid. The sea seemed really warm and pretty clean too in the summers back in the early 70's. Not clean enough obviously to sustain the Mussels though.

My folks now live in Duddingston near Arthurs Seat. Marvellous view they have too!

All the best to you and yours!
    Kind regards
    Roy

Yesterday I even tried the local supermarket for dried crushed chillies but they didn't have any. Thought I saw it there before...
I will not be beaten on this search for chillies!
Now, back to the Yorkshire Pud, which has risen incredibly well!
    Cheers
    Roy
