I picked all the green peppers in the pop up. They will only get mouldy going forward. A very disappointing season, little sun and warmth. Top picture is mainly poblanos with a rokita or two, bottom is jalapeno. Top lot were grilled until cooked then frozen and bottom lot frozen. I've still got locotos outside that are ripening up well as they don't mind the cool temperatures and a Zimbabwe black in the gh that I'm leaving to see if it ripens more.

If I knock a chili off the plant before it is "ripe", I still add to to my ground up ones. There is still some heat in them and they also add nice colour to my breads and things.

I hope you don't throw the unripe ones out. :fingers crossed:

        CanadianLori,
I don't throw much away. I like the idea of grinding up some of the chillies before freezing. As you say, great for adding to bread, soups etc. I'll give that a try. Thanks for the tip.

Chillies and sweet peppers are still going strong, they have the best position in the greenhouse to catch most sun

Looks like a nice crop @JWK . I'm thinking that I might get 2 or 3 more days before the weather steadily turns too cold for them without heat. And everyone knows the cost of heating a greenhouse! I'll gradually harvest what's left and get ready to shut down chillie growing for the season. It's also easier on the hands to harvest before it's too cold too :)

My only 2 plants have been in the house for 3-4 weeks now One is in its third year (Poinsettia) and the other (Basket of Fire) was just a seed started in May this year, but has almost caught up the oldie. Both are full of flowers (as well as a few chillies), but I doubt many will set fruit. No chillies off the BoF yet, but 30-40 of the other in the freezer as I took these off as they ripened throughout the year - first in March while still indoors. Hopefully they will survive ( and I..) my tending over winter and go back outside next summer.

I'm surprised mine are still OK as there have been a few nights close to freezing.

I've still got a couple of sweet pepper plants that are cropping, they were slow most of the summer and then put a spurt on around Sept, bit annoying really as I'm beginning to need the space but I don't like to throw them out. 17292554030168930535861516441799.jpg

Sorry @pete it is all pretty much just peppers. There are a couple of other plants near the front right - cuttings that rooted from coleus, geranium and a small canna.
