    managed to get bark chips, garden edging and weed control fabric as a cont to her new garden today

        Anyone have ideas on easy care plants that love heavy clay soil blue or silver? trying to rest my body after a hard days gardening - love it!

          Hiya, again chimneyrosegarden, I have so many blue flowering plants as well as silver. Will the area for these plants have sun? My garden is sunny with very little shade which suits blue and silver. Aster frikartii monch grows in fairly shady places., many blue geraniums do as do some artemisias. Juniperus Blue Mound is a nice, low, rounded "blue" conifer. Looks an exciting project

            Also a variegated eryngium called jade frost. New to me last year. A fantastic blue flower above beautiful variegated leaves. The blue grass in your photo ....elymus magellanicus.....is one of my favourite grasses and the blue,colour really is eye catching

              border 1 edged today and the design marked out with a spray marker. started digging up the path just waiting on some bark

              right £42 spent so far. Got to get more bark today and some gravel and some money out. Will do as much as i can today but looking forward to dai the plant coming to look at the gardens tomorrow.

              got two bags of gravel and two bags of bark from homebase today but pulled my shoulder and wrist out trying to lift them :( so will have to get my other arm bandaged now.
