    Hi Bexy,

I'd say have a look in Poundland as well. Ours do a Christmas cake mix of fruits and spices etc. Also bags of fruits such as cranberrys, dates etc.

        Hi @bexy13
Here in Shineyland (what we informally call where we live :heehee:) we have an Open Day for charity at the end of May Bank Holiday every year. We open all day Saturday and then Sunday afternoon and we had 450 people turn up this year :blue thumb:

There are thousands of plants for sale (almost all propagated by Mrs Shiney with some donation of plants from GC members ), fabulous cakes to go with the tea/coffee or Pimms, a book stall, craft stalls and loads of entertainment (Flamenco dancing, Salsa keep fit dancing, belly dancing - visitors encouraged to join in :heehee: - a fabulous singer and an excellent and very popular Ukulele band and singers).

Here is a preview of the garden that I posted in 2008 (there have been a lot of changes since then)

And this is some of this year's photos from GC members (I think they start about page 10). There's a thread for each year since 2008.

With the sales that we have made afterwards as well (some plants and I also sell produce from the garden) the charity will end up with almost £5,000 this year :yahoo:

We get somewhere around 20 GC members coming each year (those that travel a distance stay in local B&B's) and they swap plants and have a good time.
