Here is another funny cake recipe using wine instead of whisky..

    1 Cup Water
    1 Cup Butter
    1 Cup Sugar
    4 Large Eggs
    2 Cups Dried Fruit
    1 teas. Baking Soda
    1 teas. Salt
    1 teas. Watkins Vanilla Extract
    1 Cup Brown Sugar
    2 Cups of Flour
    1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
    1 Cup Chopped Nuts
    1 Gallon Wine

Sample the wine to check for quality.

    Take a large bowl.

Check the wine again to make sure that it is of the highest quality.

Pour 1 level cup and drink.

    Repeat if you're not sure.

Turn on the electric mixer and beat 1 cup of butter in a large fluffy

    bowl.

Add 1 tsp. sugar and beat again.

Make sure the wine is still okay. Cry another tup.

    Turn off the mixer.

Break two legs and add to the bowl along with some Watkins Vanilla Extract and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

    Mix on the turner.

If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers, pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the wine again to check for tonsisticity.

Next sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Who cares.

    Check the wine.

Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.

Add 1 table. Spoon. Of sugar or flour or something. Whatever you can find.

    Grease the oven.

Turn the cake pan to 350 degrees.

Don't forget to beat off the turner.

Throw one bowl out the window.

Check the wine again. Go to bed.

Who the heck likes fruitcake anyway?

    1tbsp Lemon juice
    7fl oz Golden syrup
    4oz Caster sugar
    2 Beaten eggs
    13oz Plain flour
    2tsp Bicarbonate of soda
    1tsp Baking powder

Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and spices together. Tip one third of this into a bowl and stir in the suet, nuts and raisins.

Sift the remaining flour mixture into the syrup mixture and pour in alternate spoons of milk. Stir in the whisky or rum.

Mix in the suet, nuts and raisins.

Pour the mixture in the tin and put in a preheated oven (160°C, 325°F Gas 3).

Bake until the top is firm to the touch and cracked open (about 1 hour 30 minutes).

Now decorate it with Moonshine Glaze, for which you will need:

    4oz Icing sugar
    1oz Softened butter
    2tsp Rum or whisky
    1tsp Vanilla essence
Stir all these together and mix well.

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes in the oven then turn it out on a wire rack. Spoon over the glaze while the cake is still hot. The glaze will run in glossy runnels down the sides.

    whisky cake...

    Ingredients:
6 oz self-raising flour (or all-purpose flour with baking powder)

6 oz soft brown sugar (light brown sugar)
    3 beaten eggs
    4 tablespoons whisky

    2 tablespoons clear honey
    Juice from a small orange
    Toasted flaked almonds as decoration

    Method:
Cream the butter and sugar together, add the orange rind and beat in the eggs, one at a time. Whisk until the mixture is pale and fluffy. Sift in half the self-raising flour (or all-purpose flour and baking powder) and pour in the whisky. Fold in to the mixture and sift in the remaining flour and again fold in. Grease two seven inch sandwich tins and divide the mixture between the two, smoothing the tops. Bake for 20/25 minutes in an oven at 375F/190C/Gas Mark 5 until the cake is a light golden colour. Turn onto a wire rack to allow it to cool.

Put the butter, honey and one tablespoon of orange juice in a mixing bowl. Slowly sift in the icing (frosting) sugar and work the mixture till they are all combined. Use half the butter cream as a sandwich between the two halves of the cake and spread the rest smoothly on the top. Add the toasted almonds as decoration.

Their are some more funny recipes in the muppetss its gone to page 2..and its called funny recipes..some of them are quite amusing.. :D This is my favourite ...

    The Turkey Poem
The turkey shot out of the oven
    and rocketed into the air,
It knocked every plate off the table
    and partly demolished a chair.

    It ricocheted into a corner
and burst with a deafening boom,
Then splattered all over the kitchen,
    completely obscuring the room.

It stuck to the walls and the windows,
    it totally coated the floor;
There was turkey attached to the ceiling,
where there'd never been turkey before.

    It blanketed every appliance;
    it smeared every saucer and bowl;
    There wasn't a way I could stop it;
that turkey was out of control.

I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure,
and thought with chagrin as I mopped,
I'd never again stuff a turkey
with popcorn that hadn't been popped.

In-house advisor made our Christmas cake last week. We must be the only ones that like alcohol free cakes and puddings. [IMG]
