We built our own little net cover for our tub.. Took 30 mins at the most, using just a bit of wood for the frame :)

we just buy a cheap 3 x 4m net (under £10) at our local Cherry Lane garden centre (part of the QD chain). tbh its more for keeping the Koi in! Oh, and the heron out. One time the net was knackered & we took it off & planned to get one the next day. In the morning when I opened the curtains, I was greeted by the sight of the largest koi flapping and gasping on the grass! I don't know how long it'd been out, but it was pretty dry but no marks/wounds from a heron, the stupid beggar had jumped out!! So we ALWAYS keep a net on now and at least every few days we see the same fish leap about in the pond and hit the net :heehee: I think if any cat were dumb enough to dip a paw in the pond, it may well get dragged under by the monster koi :runforhills: it's mouth is so big it'd take a big toe!!

we were given them years and years ago cos my dad didnt want them any more. didnt tell us why though, did he? Actually, the big koi had been damaged in fighting & he didnt expect it to live & he felt too ashamed to give it to his mate along with the other fish he gave him. it was only about 5ins long then, but what a recovery it made! :heehee:
