Clear Sky Space Station

Thanks Kristen , the times and positions for the bank holiday weekend should be available next week. The campsite in Trearrdur Bay has a good SW view over the sea , so we just need clear skies !!
Is there an app for an Android tablet for the ISS passes ?
Voila ! I'll try it next week. Just joined this post so the app may have been listed before.

 

Installed the app on my tablet. Its really good , I just opened it and it showed my location , a compass map showing north and where the ISS elevation where it starts and ends and how long to when it shows 15hours 30 mins at the moment It also shows its cloudy so I can't see it The app also shows timings of Iridium flares, as I am not sure what these are I'll say no more

 

iridium was a network of communication sattelites most of which aren't used any more. what makes them special is that the shape of them causes them to reflect light back to the earth for a few seconds as they go about there orbit. the reflected light can be brighter than the iss sometimes which is why they call them iridium flares.

I've downloaded the iss app for ipad... Keep missing it thou, or I'm not looking the right way.

 

Look to the West / North West skies. It comes from there, goes overhead and disappears to the East/ South East
