    I've noticed that recently planted street trees around here have a notice on the metal cage they put around them.
    It reads, please water me.
    I've not seen anyone doing it, but maybe some people are.

    More food for thought in this interesting article in today's Guardian, discussing whether we should be helping tree species to migrate northwards, to help mitigate the effects of climate change. It's something the trees have been doing for themselves anyway; humans can speed the process up, but should they? Arguments on both sides....
