    I was wondering too, I thought maybe "fugitive" meant that the flowers were hidden in the greenery and you had to go looking for them!

              First blooms of Salvia Oriental Dove. Like most of them there's a bit of variation according to environmental temperatures. When it's warmer you get a more pronounced presence of white on the edge. It propagated quite nicely too and has a very nice rounded habit. PXL_20240518_092201437-01.jpeg

                        Are Bidens eaten by slugs, @Escarpment? I saw a sweet little one with yellow and white petals the other day, but resisted as I was not sure if it would get munched to a stalk.
