Cold weather

    Its not uncommon for Britain to be a wash out while southern europe is suffering the opposite problem.

    Its a shame water is so expensive to move. I for one would make no argument if someone wanted to divert some of our rain clouds to southern europe, in return for some of their sunshine.

      Sadly the only way of naturally transferring water to southern Europe and leaving us in endless sunshine, also involves exceptionally cold winters, ice, frost fairs and some bizarre seaside icebergs.

      fully agree !!!!! but I am sure not much will happen to prevent it and at the end everyone who can afford to protect himself( move where its a bit nicer or live in a glass dome city, afford to buy more expensive food etc etc).. is well off and all the others have pulled the short straw

      another thing about the rain and if the UK will become drier or wetter in the long term:
      the phenomenon of precipitation is a very "noisy" one, when watched in statistics, means that the amount of rain in different years will vary extremely (as this and last year) and to calculate an average and predict a trend you have to watch many many years, maybe 10 or better 20 years
