Sage prefers full sun really. It will accept a bit of light shade but if its too shady, its doomed.

I have new idea - put all my herbs out in pots/containers, as I really cant decide where to plant them, so maybe will leave that decision until next year. The question is - will they survive winter in their pots? I'm gonna have a unheated greenhouse, so they could go there as well...

In a GC ranking of blame takers, I reckon Armandii is at the top, closely followed by Zigs. If it extends beyond the realm of GC, I'd say its usually me that gets the blame:loll:

i find myself in agreement with the two of you. I haven't been a member long but i can tell that you are both not to be trusted, and anyway who would take any notice of an apprentice gardener

Verily, the one behind the sofa. My secateurs were as a dumb instrument of his will.

i feel relieved that my name isn't Armandii. But how is it that i can't sit normally and keep changing position? Have i wandered accidentally into the middle of a Tarantino film?

Oh dear, we're not that bad are we?
Only joshing - I'm not really about to tie anyone to a chair and slice his ear off. Sofas might be another matter, however.
Do you want sage on that cheeseburger royale?

in which case i shall say no more and tranquilise my overactive imagination and forget that many women can be patient as can gardeners, and that many women gardeners have easy access to many sharp implements
