    There should be no need to rotovate an over-wintered mulch in the spring :scratch:

    Worms will come up to the surface and take it down into the soil saving you a job, plus they make nice drainage holes and aerate the soil. If you rotovate you will destroy your soil structure, the top 4 inches are the important bit.

    What sort of soil and where-abouts are you moonraker?
