When you mix it see if there's too much green waste which would make it slimy. You can add things like paper shreddings, straw, shredded braches etc to 'mop up' some of the moisture and help aerate the heap.

If it's gone soggy and horrible then there's not a lot you can do apart from turning it and adding and mixing in 'brown' stuff' - i.e. woody stuff, leafy stuff, cardboard and paper.
From what you have said about your heap which you only started recently, you really need to try add very much more 'browns' to it. Don't throw out cardboard or paper - just add it to your bin. It's all organic.

There is mostly shredded branches in it , a lot of shredded branches with some lawn cuttings ,weeds and old summer plants .
Plus some kitchen waste veg etc.
I'm not sure what it's like in the middle.
It was very warm in the summer.
I can try adding shredded paper.
I'll try and mix it up in the spring.
It's to cold and wet now.

    "with some lawn cutting"

best to only use small proportions of law cuttings.

I would have a bit of a delve into the middle. If its only soggy on the top (which I suspect is the case) then don't worry further - or turn it if you are feeling energetic!
