I was more than happy with mine once I got my hands on them (usual FedEx cock-up).

    Hmmmm.
    So so.
Some of the plants I got were a lot smaller than I was expecting.

Also a few pots were "empty" (Trillium, Arisema & Paris)
I phoned to complain and was told that because they were in pots, they had gone dormant already. Really???? I would expect these to be at the height of their growth. I gently dug around in the pots and did find some sort of rhizome or tuber. But why weren't they in growth??

Tail end charlie then perhaps? Nearly all mine were in 2L pots

Mine too. At the price I paid I'm happy (provided they sprout!)

    That's what worries me.
How to keep the dormant tubers going from July to next April.

To be fair my Arisaema outdoors are going over too. If grown in a cool greenhouse I expect them to be ahead of my outdoor ones.

The normal way? Just move them somewhere dryish and store in the autumn or plant out now if that was the plan.

We have to remember that this is a closing down sale. Under normal circumstances such plants would carry the line "not currently available", but there can be no such luxuries here.
I got a pot of large Allium karataviense bulbs. Pretty much died back, but the seed heads have yielded a reasonable amount of viable seed as a bonus.

Several of mine were cut down, to be "shippable", although they did tell me that would be the case.

For me, I was just looking to buy stock to propagate to have a half dozen of each plant in a year or two's time, so as long as they survive I was happier with a bargain than a garden-ready plant. That may not suit other folk though, of course.

Only just seen this Kristen - excellent alert. But so sad - clearly a good nursery with a lot of unusual stuff.
