    Lovely Pete really lovely I think your custom banana tree is pretty cool too:D

    As Dee says you and BM both have wonderful gardens and I'm sure it makes most of us green with envy...I know it does me!

    Its my first year growing cordys and I'm going to try a Trachecarpus Fortunei next I think they are newbie friendly...any tips?

    Great stuff Pete love that ponytail palm I have 3 growing from seed it will be a while before they reach that size, lovely garden.

    Thanks for the replys.
    I was looking for a new home for the pair of ponytail palms/ beaucarnea, but in the end decided to repot them.
    Mine were from seed walnut, sown sometime back in the eighties. They are a bit slow here, but nice in a way as they make good pot plants for many years.
    Helen the cordys are faster than the trachy, but the trachy is hardier, so both are a good start, and the sooner you start the better, as both only improve with age.

    Thanks Pete for your advice I'ave got a birthday coming up soon I'm 21 again [​IMG] so maybe I'll get lucky! :D
