    elainefiz, I was hopless at the pastry and was told to use self raising flour by my daughters mother in law and it tastes lovely, I always used plain flour no wonder it was hard, you will be suprised good luck, piccie when you have finished

    Definite heart burn but i`ll survive.At least i wont have the oven to clean. [​IMG] [​IMG]

    excellent elainefiz, well done are you going to half it and freeze it or leave it whole that looks pretty big and scrummy delicous

    Cor that's a big pie elaine fiz it looks lovely just like a desprate dan pie, without the horns.

    Its a, now you see it,now you dont pie :D You were right about the SR flour rosa.Tastes great.I normally would have used equal amounts of lard,marge but tried it your way and will in future.The only thing i added [​IMG]was an oxo cube. :love:Everone agreed,my best effort yet. [​IMG]

    never thought about an oxo cube, have you eaten half the pie of froze it for christmas :D :D
    I made out of ingredients two smaller pies.
    Elainefiz the pastry is nicer without the lard must agree.
