Just had the self same conversation with my Hubby...he seems to think it will be sooner than we think...so I stuck my two penneth in and got on my soap box.....
Any government worth their salt will not lift the 'lockdown' till June at least if they've got any sense..We have yet to 'reach the peak' so surely we must be very cautious if we're to 'Protect the NHS and save lives.

I didn't think there was a lock down, here it's as normal, I only see a lock down when I go out once a week for shopping, seeing more people out and about now than 2 weeks ago, for some resson when they stop for a chat they stay 2 meters away ( I must smell or something ) the joys of living in the middle of no where :) please tell me when the lock down stops as I would know now I've stopped watching the news

                Interesting thought:-

A friend of mine lives in a suburban terraced house in London. His garden is 24ft wide and he has wire netting fence either side and gets on very well with both neighbours. They have agreed to take it in turns to do the shopping for each other so each one only ends up going to the shops about once a month or longer. A good idea.

Each day, because the weather is nice they go into their gardens after lunch and take a can or two with them. They all sit and chat for an hour or two and can still be at least four metres away from each other.

There is totally nothing wrong in doing this as they are not leaving home and are maintaining over two metres from people not of their household. :blue thumb:

One of my neighbours is still visited twice a week by a friend, who has visited him twice a week for years. He enters the back garden by walking down the side and never gets any closer than three metres from a hedge or wall. He then sits in the back garden at least 6 metres away from the neighbour (brings his on can) and they sit and chat for a few hours. He then goes home.

When he's gone the neighbour hoses the wooden chair down, moves it down the garden (wearing gloves) and goes indoors and scrubs his hands. They have been further apart from each other than my friend in London is from his neighbours, yet he is breaking the rules.

Rules Is Rules! You can't legislate for every situation but I can't condemn the neighbour for what he is doing. :noidea:

There are two already serving six week sentences on the Isle of Man for ignoring the lock down. There are two more awaiting sentence.
