Corona Virus Treatment

I have just read that hairdressers here will be permitted to open by appointment only and with a limited number of customers on 2 May when our next restrictions are reviewed. Ours only has two chairs. The weird thing is that both hairdresser and customer should wear masks and gloves. I might let my hair grow long again!

 

Six months ago some one had a moan about the way I live, now that person rang me for some tips, so I remind that person what was said, this lock down is easy for us as we don't go out much and just like our surrounding

No sure if this should be in the moan thread but it is corona related

 

Perhaps you good people could answer this: Hospital Gowns, can't these items be put on a hot wash to kill any germs? I'm not saying that more is probably needed though.

 

@john558 very hot water will kill it but the virus cannot survive exposure to something as mild as dish soap.

@Jiffy I'll add a moan to this thread. I made face masks for some of my neighbours. One a few doors over -for their 3 and 6 year old. 3 years is the smallest pattern I had. Well, yesterday afternoon, that numpty allowed her kids to roam the street, without the masks I made and visit the kids across from me who are 18 months and 2 1/2. These little ones were just out hanging around with dad while he was pulling weeds in the front gardens.

I drafted a smaller pattern this morning and made a baby and toddler size to give to the fellow across the street.

This shows just how stupid people are even when given the tools, free, to follow the rules!

 

Our daughter had a Polish schoolfriend who'd describe everything she ate when visiting grandparents in Poland as grey and horrible, which rather puts me off Polish flour.

But your mention of Chapiti flour reminded me of finding 10Kg bags reduced to clear (80p?) in Tesco some years ago, and remembered it was OK used instead of plain flour.

So got one in today's order, 10Kg for £4.99

 

I can't help wondering why, on the Worldometer, we are the only country to put N/A against the recovery number totals to date.

 

Like surgeons' gowns ...

 

... and why they don't include nursing/care home deaths in the number ... although they say they don't have the same tracking as the hospitals. It is estimated to possibly be 4,000. France and China have now done 'catch up'.
