Dunno what you mean, I've been plastered for the last 4 weeks

 

I'm agreeing with @Mike Allen , the quietness is an unexpected bonus. Last Friday night I was sitting in the garden and whereas I'd usually hear cars, people going for their weekend nights out, slamming doors, music, I heard the blackbird serenading.

It must also be the lack of the constant background hum of cars and the city life that allows the wildlife to become braver. They can hear an approaching danger better.

Last night we saw not just The Deer we saw before, but the full family with a male with horns, two females and a calf with chopstick legs and teddybear ears And this is 10 mins metro journey from Newcastle city centre, between Gosforth race court and a golf club.

 

B&Q and Wickes re-opened today.

 

Hi @Sheal , it's only certain B&Q's that are re-opening. They plan to open more over the next few weeks if it goes well.

 

Ours opened today @KFF, there was a huge queue outside. I spent ages queuing to get into B&M today, they didn't close and there's been no restrictions on what we can buy there. However, my time was wasted because they didn't have what I wanted. The Range has remained open too.

 

Most of the large stores have stayed open here, only the small shops have closed. The chip shops have reopened I noticed.

 

The last 3-4 weeks have been like normal, this week the traffic has doubled in the last few day but that will change in a week or 2 back to the norm still hear the birds and see the bull-ocks and now the sound of people hitting they're brakes when they meet some one on a blind bend drive slower please!!!!
