We had a group of 11 walk up ..and down our lane on Wednesday ,5 adults and 6 children!!! No social distancing whatsoever. They were all close to each other and the children all playing together. I went and stood by my gate and 'openly ' counted them as they went by. I then announced to my hubs in a loud voice,' some people have no regards for the wellbeing of others it seems '.

Me?... Nope none whatsoever, they hadn't a care in the world. Later ( I was out at the post office) hubs said they all walked back down playing chase with the children and the adults ,catching each other and tickling one another!!

Another positive surprise phenomenon in Selleri household. We always get our groceries delivered weekly and I may pop in a shop for any forgotten or fresh items in between.

Now there has been no popping in and thanks to the challenging hunt of delivery slots our last delivery was 10 days ago.

So, Tesco came this morning and we had a proper celebration, showing each other "look, EGGS!" "wow, MINCE!" "STRAWBERRIES, mum, we have fresh strawberries!" and so on. It's Christmas all over again :hapfeet:

The best thing however was fresh loaf of bread. Frozen-and-toasted is fine but fresh and fluffy is heaven :)

It's surprising how you start to crave things you don't have even when you have plenty of other things to eat. We ran out of eggs a week ago and since then I have craven them for breakfast (instead of the usual toast), found amazing omelette and merenque recipes and we all wanted to bake cakes. :heehee:

On a less positive note, the substitutions are getting worse. I ordered parsley to replace the old one in my herb garden and they gave me coriander. We passionately hate coriander. Honestly, licking washing up liquid gives you the same flavour with much less cost. Well, it's a pretty plant so into the pot it goes.

NHS Wales spent £166 million adding 6,000 new intensive care beds. Fortunately only 35 have been used so far. They are still on stand by in case there is a 2nd peak. The line is holding firm here - the line composed of the people of North Wales that is.

Well around here it would be two fingers.
I think each to their own, people are totally fed up and I think the attitude is turning to, to hell with it, life must go on.

That's a bad attitude to have, they'd do well to remember the 40,000 people that life didn't go on for;):blue thumb:

Yes most are fed up but I do still not grasp why some are so nonchalant ,do they have no elderly relatives or friends or any consideration for others ? it may hit home if god forbid it ends up on their own doorstep ..I agree life must go on but for some poor souls it doesn't.

Well, its the, "it will never happen to me " attitude that got us through two world wars, people talk of the war time spirit but its not there anymore.
Can you imagine if the same attitude was applied to a war situation, we would be all hiding.

If you think the virus will hit you bad, then by all means isolate and keep your head down.
If you have no underlying health problems get out there and do your thing, just like all the NHS staff and others who have worked through it all, supermarket staff etc.

Social distancing, who came up with that name?

We are supposed to be a free country, we cant say what we like, now we cant do what we like, and its getting more like China every day.
                    In more ways than one.
Sorry just felt a rant coming on.:mute:

But those with health problems should be isolating, that is how it should be working.

Anyone else should be going about their normal business, ok, a few precautions, but not banged up indoors for weeks on end.
I see where its all coming from, its the modern blame game, that if the government dont impose these restrictions there will be people suing them and blaming everone else but themselves.
