Yes @pete but ..I will only say this once more as it upsets me and probably bores you lot to pieces. Hubs and I, in fact our whole extended family, have stuck by the guidelines....that is why we are now seeing positive signs of numbers coming down. The guidelines are now detailing a 'conrolled' easing of lockdown...but for it to work it must be followed and controlled!!!!...In this case ..a person can meet up with 1 other person from outside their household in a public place.......1!!!.Not in a group of 11!!
Because I care and respect the rights of others to minimise their chances of coming into contact with the virus unknowingly I missed out on the last weeks of my Dad's life!!! And not to dramatize things....it has left mentally and emotionally scarred....for the rest of my life.!!
So if it had been you sticking your fingers up at me.....I would pray that if you caught it you would be refuse treatment! I think such people should be named and shamed publicly and their pics put up online...and as I said should be refused treatment if they came down with the virus. They obviously weren't bothered about protecting themselves or others so the money saved from treating them can pay for the poor people they infected.

Stick those fingers up at me and I'll bite them off!! That's not a threat..it's a promise!

Some time ago I joined facebook because the relatives in Australia wanted to keep in touch
                I wonder why.

Anyway, when I go on there, there is always some so and so quoting government guidelines and telling us what we must do and what we must not do.
What the hell is it with these people that they keep jamming it down our throats, does it make them feel important? Do they feel good telling us what we have already been told we must do.

It has the total opposite effect on me, and I'm not alone.
Nobody likes a smart A rse.;)

I abide by the law, I dont go round upsetting people, and I dont see why they have the right to go round upsetting me.
Do your own thing and what you feel is sensible and dont tell others what to do.
                Its quite simple.

I drove to the garden centre this morning and I didn't wear my seat belt. :roflol:

If everyone worked for the NHS, Supermarkets, Transport, cleaners, key workers and care homes

Then their would be no Lock down :-)

As it is, it is only the poor souls mentioned above that are working their socks off, whilst the rest sit at home on a fully paid three month summer holiday

Those people who flout the lock down rules are making the lock down last longer and increasing the likely hood of fatalities. Poetic justice perhaps - these are also the people who will fall ill or pass on the virus to their loved ones/friends. Seems fairly selfish to me.

The majority - that follow the rules - they are the ones saving lives.

I'm pretty much following the rules, cant do much else really, everywhere is shut or has long queues , I'm sick of talking the the walls, they haven't answered me back yet, and if it wasn't for the good weather and the garden I would probably have taken a long drive off Beachy Head by now.;)
There are people in much worse conditions than I am and I think its going to kill a good few, in the long term.
Sometimes the cure can be worse than the disease.

@Upsydaisy - reading through this thread, and I have spotted a line within your post that stopped me in my tracks; I'm so sorry that you have lost your dad, especially in such difficult circumstances and not being able to see him in those final weeks. No wonder it has left you feeling scarred, and I can only hope that the pain eases for you through time.

I have to admit, I am really struggling with quite a lot of the ins and outs of this virus, not least as I am one of those that is shielding and all but stuck indoors. I had no choice but to go out today as the heater failed on our aquarium, and whilst it is not going to drop dramatically in temperature at this time of year, it is still vital to the welfare of the fish that the temperature is kept stable. We also needed to sort filtration out as I am having ongoing problems with the hood filter. Anyway, I digress. Our usual aquarium shop is slap bang in the heart of a garden centre, and a week or so ago when we went (with a view to Mrs C going in to get some plants), there was a queue snaking around the car park. Non-starter.

We found another branch, about fifteen miles away that whilst also in the grounds of the garden centre, you can walk directly from the car park into the aquarium shop and miss the garden centre entirely, so that is where we went. I decided, on the basis of this knowledge, that I would pop in as well - firstly as I have had eight weeks of not being able to go anywhere or see anything, but secondly because we both needed to see and discuss what we needed for the welfare of our pets.

I figure that the risks of me doing this cannot, simply cannot, be more than getting an Amazon delivery. That Amazon guy could be carrying the virus, or the person packing it could, or the person who loaded his van might have had it and so on and so forth. The numbers of people who have died 'with' (note, not from) C19 seem really high - but, the year that I was almost a goner with flu, almost 29,000 people died from that in this country, and we didn't stop the world for that.

It also seems that a lot of the so called 'experts' are giving out contradictory information, I suspect either because they don't really know, or that they do know but aren't able to tell us the actual truth.
