Will test and trace work, if lots of folk do not have a SMART phone, therefore contacts would not be known ?

If I have been in total isolation, and my family the same in their home, surely none of us could have the virus, so hugs all round

If everyone else has been in lockdown for weeks now, how come people are still getting ill with the virus and dying ?

The big bit of missing info that they never have told us during the whole thing if where the new cases are.
I'm thinking there are a few amongst people wandering the streets, but just wonder if most are still in carehomes and NHS buildings.

As I understand it the system does not use smartphones. A new team of 25,000 tracers are going to ring you up if you test positive and ask who you have been in close contact with. They then ring those people up and tell them to self isolate.

Sounds like a rubbish system, relying on you asking complete strangers for their phone number!

It also sounds ideal for scammers and cold callers to jump on the bandwagon.

Tracing phishing scams are aready in place and might catch more people out if they can link it to one of your contacts who've had the virus. This could be worse than the "we've been informed you've been in an accident" phishing.

They'll only ring you up if they think/know that you had been near someone with Covid for at least 15 minutes. They would only know that if that someone had told them when they asked them.

If they had been using a viable App, and you had also been using one then they would have more knowledge. It wouldn't happen to me as I don't have a mobile . Even if I did have a mobile I'm not sure I would want to download an intrusive App onto it. :dunno:

Let face it the tracking thing they announced is a cobbled together piece of rubbish that they came up with on the spur of the moment.
Obviously the tap, track and trace app has not worked, but they wont tell us that.

It probably has teething troubles, like its, er........its not working.
We could have used one that is already in use in other places, but no, we have to use one that the NHS wants, or the government wants.

Who is going to be able to remember everyone they have been in contact with, but then it is, 15minutes:biggrin:
So in my case it will probably be no one, so who the hell gave it to me.:roflol:

Judging by what I heard this morning on the TV there are going to be some very serious questions asked at some point about what the NHS was doing to care homes.

Apparently sending patient that were know to have CV that were sent back to care homes to die with no real treatment.
The care homes had no real way of dealing with it.

And then infecting the care homes .

At the same time they were building those Nightingale hospitals that have hardly been used.

I dont think they had a single clue in what they were doing.

PANIC seems to be what was going on.

I reckon Ian Blackford has complained about her conduct - ie. she said Domino hadn't really done anything wrong.

The man who stood up in the UK Parliament on the first day of Boris becoming Prime Minister by telling him that he would be the last Prime Minister of the UK:wallbanging: One of my neighbours described Blackford as the SNP man with the "tight mincing little mouth".........I made no comment:dunno::heehee:
