Corona Virus Treatment

I have to admit we were worried for our son when he was out there, thankfully he returned safe and well on Saturday. Our real worry was more centred around his accommodation and close environmental contacts as he was staying in hostels and obviously mixing with a lot of other backpackers.

Generally speaking we are not that concerned for our own wellbeing. But....if by chance, our son had decided to pay us a visit I wouldn't have allowed him to see his Grandpa ( my Dad)....even ordinary flu is a potential killer to someone his age.

There's a lot more of toughing key pads and people not washing hands etc so easyer to spread from person to person,

We may have a clean places but things we use daily are not cleaned enough

 

I know @Jiffy, I always wear gloves when shopping during the winter months, always have done. I shudder at the thought of shopping trolley handles, petrol pump nozzle thingy,and handrails on stairs/ escalators, and buttons at cashpoints and on lifts!!

Trouble is this year it looks as if I'll be wearing them all year now.. Hmmmm...I must look out for some pretty summer ones.
They reckon it'll peak here about June and that we will still be seeing new cases of it here at Christmas!

Definitely on a summer glove hunt mission tonight.

 

I think the truth hasnt reached us yet regards the scale of this outbreak.
I saw a sad video the other day posted that showed many bodies on pavements, people collapsing in the streets, orange body bags etc.
Might be worth having a fortnights food,some disinfectant ,disposable gloves and masks just in case.

 

Yes @shiney I wash my 'shopping gloves' after each outing, they aren't worn for warmth ( I have others for that) so they are easily washed and dried over a heater as they are only cotton ones.

I try not to hold on to rails but since having the bones in both feet surgically fused for some weird reason I feel unbalanced coming down stairs and escalators so I have to lightly make contact with the sides of them ( not necessarily the rails themselves to steady myself.

We only eat out a couple of times a month...and I use antibacterial wipes....on the cutlery...take your point on that so will use them on hands too from now on.,

Why your right hand?? I would tend to think it better to use your left...if you were right handed that is.

 

Isn't it interesting that only Chinese restaurants give you hot wipes following a meal, that I know of.

I hate touching things out in public too and have always said it was my opinion that is how viruses are passed along.

 

Oh, personally I would never 'go' when out for a meal. I seldom use any toilet outside of home. But obviously being right handed everything else would get touched by the hand. Really can't see what difference it would/ should make.When eating best practice is to have both clean.

Yes my hubs has a lot of traditions that we still follow.

Annnd another thing...What about money? how many times does that change hands..My Grandmother would always demand 'clean' notes from anywhere she went be it a shop or a bank,she hated 'mucky money'...

 

Well at least the modern plastic notes can go through a washing machine. Another take on money laundering.

No problem touching things, people is a different matter though a complete no no, unless I've known them well for years.

 

But corona virus is said to be infectious not contagious?
