    How surprised was I:

A "RED ALERT" warning has been issued by Bournemouth Council after photos showing thousands of people packed onto the town's beaches caused concern.

Lockdown won't work - everyone will have gone home.

Just been to the seafood stall outside Notcutts garden centre.
It was practically deserted for a Sunday up there.

They can't be doing much trade since the initial rush after they opened.

I still think that the mask idea is stopping business getting going properly, every one that came out dragged the mask off before even walking to the car.
People are wearing them but it's not making anything worth doing.

I would have normally had a wander round, possibly bought some thing in the process but it's not an enjoyable experience, so I didn't bother.

          Is anything wearing a mask?

OK, perhaps not an appropriate question to ask :yikes:

According to contacts in the construction industry, operatives using pubs are giving false names and tel numbers so they don't have to quarantine and lose 2 weeks pay if any positive cases are associated with the pub(s) they've visited.

                Not surprising , ............is it?;)

Thing is, if they get a call the whole site has to shutdown presumably.
Or are we in the realms of only being able to catch it in pubs but not building sites?

I'm pretty well convinced the track and trace is dead in the water.
Cant see how it will work when they dont catch everyone, and everyone that they have been in contact with.

Its just about being seen to be doing something.

                      Hi Jenny.

I have been an advocat of ID cards for yonks. People in this country always say NO. It deprives us of our privacy.

A good idea but are they really needed as most people carry a driving licence with them these days? Neither of these will work though, if the powers that be don't ask to see them at the time names and phone numbers are requested.

Same problem with my old style paper driving license which I don't carry around being too big also it has no digital bar/scan codes anyway.

Does the new digital driving license link to your phone number? Wouldn't be much use if it didn't.

Unbelievable the number of drivers who don't carry their driving license with them. In the past. I have issued many, HO/RT1 That is a Home Office/Road Traffic form 1. Often nowadays called, A producer.

An ID card of todays production could, using modern technology. Contain basic info. Plus medical ID and possibly more info. Each section only being able to be read by the appropriate dept.
