They're a lot better now Pete. The ones on the North Kent line, are pretty regular, faster and more space, but the seats are like HP agreements. 3rd down and the rest spread over.

What really bugs me is. Why can't we have trains that are platform level. These new ones have a very naroww step, and I get a bit nervy disembarking.

Was it Jenny who said she's becoming afraid of this world.

I can well understand such fears.

Not just here in the UK, but around the world. Jo Public are blaming their respective governments. Hang on. The worldly powers didn't invent this virus. Fair do's. It has hit mankind like something from a Sci-Fi movie. Politicians have been wandering about as if blindfolded. Lets be fair. Even the top medical scientist are grabbing at straws.

Who knows? perhaps its similar in other countries. Almost every day we are bombarded with facts and figures, charts and all sorts of information. May I say. Most of it we don't understand. One minute we have to stay in doors, then we can go out, but with restrictions. In short. I can sadly forsee people saying. Sod this for a lark. I'm throwing everything to the wind. If the virus doesn't get me, then insanity will. I hope I am wrong.

I have on line friends in California who are experiencing grave fires which are becoming impossible to control throughout the State. They have had months and months of dry weather and are now having very violent damaging thunderstorms with lightening strikes that start fires.
Very strange, troubling times that make me uneasy...

Didn't know if I should post in latest moan or here but I am not happy about the fact that at this time of year I can usually purchase, at half price, lots of quality potting soil for starting my seedlings over the winter but because of the virus and so many suddenly jumping into gardening and the suppliers not being prepared for it, there is zero available. Even if suddenly there were more supplied for sale, the price would not be economical

I'm glad there is an increase in gardeners but I don't like "paying the price" for it!

                    Stupid virus

No end of season bargain hunting for me this year, no all gardening stuff reduced to 10p at B&M, no 75% off at Wilkos, no seed clearances, no Sunday afternoon 75-90% off reductions in the supermarkets, just staying away from all of them.

P.S. Looks like Wilko seed reductions have started, but in store only :frown:

People scrambling to get flights home from Croatia before 4am.

No body flying home from Portugal until 4am.

                          What a total cock up.

Careful they don't break through the fabric in the washing machine (if they're reusable). I've made so many and add a pouch on the reverse side that you can slide the metal strip into and remove it for washing.

We have the washable masks and managed to get the metal strip inside by undoing a few of the stitches and sewing the ends up so it leaves a gap, we always wash them by hand.
