I lost all my strength today, the first of a lockdown hair cut.

I started it ( don’t laugh now ) and other half finished it off, so gone from flowing locks :heehee: to stubble on the bits of my head that can grow a thatch.

Simply, out of boredom. I took a look at the online NHS page about. Body Mass Index. BMI.

I entered my sex. Male. (Well that was it, last time I looked) lol.
        Age. 80-81. Height. 5'10. actually 6'0.1/2'' Weight. 14.5 stone.

Result. Overweight by some two stone.
I have been this weight for at least the past forty years.

Reference to prescriptions. A local pharmacy had a pharmacy built onto the side of my surgery. Very convenient. My regular prescriptions are for. One lot of tablets and one lot of capsules. Joke is. I've been taking these for over 30 yrs and no check up has been made. Just one a day of each is the order. So my medicines are now automatically delivered. I get two packs of each. Each containing 30 tabs/caps. About two weeks later, I get another load. So I ask that the scripts are put on hold for a while. Tried this once. Then when needing a refill. Sorry. You will have to make an appointment to see the doctor as you haven't had this medication for........

Then at times when collecting the meds. I don't need this or that. As long as I haven't left the pharmacy, the meds have the labels removed and they go back on the shelves etc. Nice little fiddle for the pharmacist. No wonder the NHS is in debt.

I rarely comment on what individual people do about the virus but this latest trip by Trump is stupid. He goes for a drive just for publicity . So he's definitely coronavirus positive and forces his security detail to travel in a small enclosed space with him and endangers all of them. That's even worse than being on a train!

So, Sir Keith Starmer reckons Boris et al have " lost control " of this virus.
                EXCUSE ME?
We have never had control of this virus !

This is bound to happen - because people can't be bothered to comply with the rules:

The Welsh Government is considering quarantine restrictions for people travelling to Wales from Covid hotspots elsewhere in the UK.

I read that news item a while ago. I said to T'other Half if we can do it so should they be able to, and he agreed.

During the height of our problem, no one from "Up North" (for us Lisbon and above) were allowed through Alentejo (the Province above us East to West) to the Algarve. All roads were blocked. During holiday weekends we were forbidden to leave our home counties. The problems are still up there.

I guess it is easier for us to block Regions because basically they all go from the Atlantic to Spain (except Lisbon & Tejo to the West). Regions from top to bottom ... The North, Central, Lisbon & Tejo Valley, Alentejo, Algarve ,,,

If it was up to me I'd be 'doing it' not 'considering it'..it makes no sense locking people down yet letting all and sundry in from elsewhere  apparently people are going to these 'hot spots' for a holiday !!!! Why would anyone go to a 'hot spot' for a naffing 'holiday'?...bladdy crackers if you ask me.:rolleyespink:

Mike, your pharmacy pharmacist is supposed to review your prescriptions. I am not sure how often, but it seems to me at least once a year. Besides your GP pharmacist is supposed to do the same. Your GP is supposed to be sure that you take the right and the necessarily for you medication without severe side effects.
The doses could be changed or a better medication prescribed. Surely for 30 years a lot of new medication with less side effects have been created.
