Slightly incorrect. Whist a five minute test has been developed, it was not in Oxford. It was developed by a lady called Jennifer Doudna, who is one f this years Nobel Prize winners. She developed it at University of California, Berkeley where she is employed.

Just another bit of in part "fake news" that is being fed to UK citizens I'm afraid.

I had never even heard of the video before you mentioned it and have never been on TikTok - I can't even work out how it works or exactly what it is. Don't you have to access it via a smartphone? I only use a laptop.[/QUOTE]

I don't use TikTok either - the videos appeared in their droves on Twitter during the first lockdown; the first four or five were funny but then the started to wear thin. I saw one recently, an entire ward shut down and they were having a practice session and working out their choreography - the person filming that one (on a phone) could be heard saying that the could not believe what they were seeing, there was so many staff there. If I see some, I will download them and post them here.

I have just checked the Covid rules in my area and here is how mad this is becoming....

As most of you know, I live within the M25 - I am in Surrey however, not in a London borough. The map below shows the street where I used to live in a blue box and the street I currently live in is inside the red box. The two are no more than 2 maybe 3 minutes apart in the car, even when there is traffic. Those living in our old street are subject to the Tier 2 restrictions (High) from Saturday, whereas we are only subject to Tier 1 restrictions.

How does the virus know which street it is in?

Two of our sons are in Hackney, the 3rd highest place in London for new cases.

Two local schools here have just reported new cases today too.
One child displayed no symptoms at all and still feels completely well. That's the scary part in all of this, as this particular school that this child attended had two old peoples homes almost next door to it , plus the local shops, post office, chemist......and we all know how children tend to congregate outside shops after school!!!!:yikes:

Its ringing a bell now. I seem to remember briefly seeing a clip of some nurses in a corridor. From what I recall it was harmless fun. Was a bit irritating but trivial in the scheme of things and just a bit of a laugh. Certainly not something that would affect my view of the NHS in any way.

Blimey, I wish there was only one @SimonZ - there were ones where they were 'rowing' beds down corridors, others where they were dancing in and out of cubicles, others where they were playing with blown up gloves or other PPE - - as I say, the odd one, fair enough - but there were tons of them.

Could it possibly be that when they are on 12 hour shifts and dealing with trauma day in and day out they feel the need to entertain themselves to avoid going mad?!
To stay 100% professional in a 'bed and work' scenario can't be easy to maintain i guess.
