Wow. I don't know what to say. Not only did I see brazen disregard for social distancing while walking through my small town this evening, but I've just watched a video - from a trusted, official channel - of my home city of Leeds, taken live as the narrator walks through the city centre. It was rammed, peoples spilling out of bars in the hundreds as they closed at 10PM. Many others were just milling round the city in big groups. It was like a football celebration, with no distancing whatsoever. The police were there and were being threatened and abused by drunken revelers. I'm wary of lockdowns and don't see them as a magic bullet, I'm worried about state control and concerned about the side-effects of lockdown on businesses and people's wellbeing, but I've reluctantly accepted it and, like many, had been hoping it could be minimized to the promised four weeks. After what I've seen tonight? Wouldn't be surprised at a steep rise in infections, followed by further restrictions - with the same people out boozing tonight then blaming the government.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. Still, one can always blame the government

Simon. I totally agree with your comment. As I have commented before. This pandemic is all new to us. Even our faithful scientist are attempting to learn more by the minute. We the public try our best to come to terms with it all, often offering our ideas of solutions etc. Like you. I find it unbeleivable at times at just how the human race acts and conducts itself.
Yes, it's easy to say. Let others do what they like. In this case those who chuck everything to the wind are not just chancing their lives but at the same time, they are threatening my life and many others like me. So my personal life has many problems, but life is sweet. Our bodies are remarkably made and fight to the last to keep us going. Why should these brainless individuals be a threat to us.

I'm sure I saw some thing on the news in parliament where when Theresa May started talking some one walked out, I thought it was Boris but not sure.

                          Why did he walk out?
Was it he didn't agree with what she was saying, or for another reason.
