Possibly, but I have to be honest that I am deeply concerned about the lack of 'field testing' that this has had. I understand the reason it has been done at pace, but given that a vaccine usually has to be tested over a period of 10-15 years, a matter of months seems to be hugely risky to me.

I’m not concerned in the least. At my age I can’t afford to wait 10-15 years, and I suspect a large proportion of the population are completely fed up with things as they are. Lock-down after lock-down isn’t sustainable, is it?

Good afternoon all my friends well Woo is concerned as to my mind the older one gets then time becomes less and much more valuable ,but on saying that if given the chance then I would have the vaccination but at the moment I can't even get a flu jab because locally stocks have run out or are very low at my doctors, chemists, shops and even privately, enjoy the rest of your day and stay safe my friends;):blue thumb:

I very much agree. I don’t want to waste it spending weeks/months on end either self-isolating or having to social distance.
Getting to the position of being to offer everyone a jab is still some way off, and I understand there are practical issues, not least storage, but it’s looking positive.

It is certainly a step in the right direction, and let's be honest we need all the positive news we can get at the moment.

According to the info I can pull up on the net from the government site, our area has less than 50 cases per 100,000. :phew:

I'm willing to test it;), don't think I can wait 10 to 15 yrs of this stupidity that is going on now.

Thing is if we were all vaccinated now, and it works, we would still be social distancing and wearing masks all the time, it will become normal, once people get the sh** scared out of them they don't come down these days.
They call it the New Normal,:roflol:
As far as I'm concerned if its new it aint normal.

Just saw a brainiac on the beeb:

Question - "Will we get back to some sort of normality by Spring?"

                        Response - "Yes, yes, yes"

But then, he's a scientist - so what does he know....

I'm cautiously pessimistic that we'll then be able to get on with looking for new sources of food due to Covid-19 mutation in food production livestock necessitating massive culls, causing huge food shortages and meat eaters stripping the shelves of vegetarian/vegan products.
