    I remember it clearly, from back in 1953 :blue thumb:. I lived in London then and only two houses in our street had TV. The rooms were crowded!!! :hate-shocked:

      2) To avoid enormous queues of over 60's forming, avoiding a repetition of Northern Rock.

        The majority of us in the South (excluding Kent) are in Tier 2 which stops different households socializing indoors. But we are allowed to fly abroad to places like the Canary Islands which have no restrictions, so all our friends and family can fly out and be together after all! Great for those that can afford it and don't care about spreading the virus.

          What they are building is looking pretty permanent.

                Accoding to the grape vine - Wales in about to go back into lock down. We need the vaccine, I'm not sure I can deal with another lock down.

                    I recently submitted a response to an ONS survey on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on mental health.

                    As they sent me a shopping bag as a thank you, I somehow think they don't understand anything themselves.

                      We're usually abroad for Christmas but can't go this year. So we have invited an 88 year old woman, that has no family in this country, for Christmas dinner. :blue thumb: It's the only use of the 'Christmas Bubble' we shall take advantage of.                         How we all doing on the 'Tier front' ?..T3 in these parts,not unexpected...dim wits are still and I don't doubt will continue to flaunt the guidance ..it is what it is folk just need to use a bit of savvy and think of others.

                            Seems to me lots of areas are coming out of the lockdown in tiers that they wouldn't have been in before the lockdown.:biggrin:
