Phone them in the morning - they might not have wrung it's neck yet; you could have it as a pet come March.

I would have said that the people ignoring the rules are already witless.

Actually, what was said is that it's only the Flu virus that needs a new vaccine every year as it is extremely clever at mutating at several levels every year. Nobody knows enough about this Virus to be sure what it can do but the UK is at the front with identifying Gene Sequencing and can identify the changes in the Virus. So, at the moment, no new vaccine is expected to be needed because of the mutation.:dunno:
But, to be honest, I find that inferring that the mutation is a conspiracy by the Government and Scientists for some indefinable reason is something I would expect to hear from Trump and the White House as to why he lost the Presidency.:wallbanging:
The new strain wasn't just identified in Kent but was also identified in the NorthEast, NorthWest, Midlands and Wales but, again, we still didn't know enough to say immediately what it would do at that time so it's taken time for research to get a idea of what it is capable of. What appears to be a problem is that the new mutation finds the highly populated areas in London, Kent and the South East to be ideal for it to spread. One point to note is that the Virus, when being passed on to a new Host rewrites itself and in that rewriting makes many mistakes which produces more mutations of which the greater percentage don't survive.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

Well I'm just wondering how many people will be ringing them and hoping to cancel the order, its going to be a total disaster for him. I only wanted a small one, but mostly people buy really big ones and they aint going to want them anymore.

Certainly agree. No food wasted in our household but I reckon that goes back to the days of rationing. :old: :heehee:

I don't know where you are shopping, but the little I am able to go out and about, I see everyone wearing masks

To infer that questioning the validity of something that is coming out of any politicians mouth, let alone that of Boris Johnson is in any way relatable to Trump is an insult to be honest.

The fact remains, as noted by the CMO himself on the BBC broadcast, this new strain was first identified in Kent in late September. Now, I don't think it is unreasonable to question how they can be so sure that the vaccine will still work with it, nor even how sure they can about the behaviours of this new strain in such a short space of time, not least when there are people being tested and having the results returned as 'inconclusive'.... It is also not beyond unreasonable to related Covid-19 or SARS-Cov-2 as it is otherwise known to the flu, because the flu and many other respiratory illnesses are Coronaviruses.

Other parallels can be drawn with those other respiratory illnesses also, the biggest of which is that their prevalence increases massively in winter and decreases in summer; Covid has behaved in the same way, so relating it to flu is in my opinion perfectly reasonable.

Full lockdown in Wales from midnight tonight.

2 bubbles able to mix on Xmas day only.

I suspect that the allotment will be heaving....

Some regions near me are going to ha e to close down all non essential shops/services.

I'm feeling like this is a hint of what germ warfare looks like...
