This morning's news now tells of some irresponsible Londoners trying to get out of the capital. But not just London ,the same in many areas.
and not just to spread Christmas cheer .
But spreading the virus and fear .

What the hell is wrong with people ,pity their isn't a vaccine to inject common sense.

Some just cannot understand , Is it that they think they are indestructible ? or do they see it's the end of the world and they are going to have as much out of life as possible while they can??????
Why do some have a problem when it comes to being sensible ?

    It is so frightening,
    life is so preciouse.

Zoom. Haven't tried it but some of my friends want to do a Zoom get together before Christmas because of the lock down. Theirs - not mine. They are in a red zone.

I can't imagine being able to be chummy with 8 online at one time as wouldn't the timing been thrown off and lots of unintentional interrupting would happen? Opinions and/or tips please?

Or, could it be that folks had made arrangements to go away, bought Christmas food and gifts spending hundreds in the process and all the while being told that they were going to be allowed to get together with their family for a few days over Christmas with that being reaffirmed only a couple of days ago? Then to be told that after midnight it is illegal to travel (therefore, before midnight it is legal) what exactly did Boris and Co think was going to happen?

We have family members, one of whom is pregnant and therefore vulnerable, who were going to go to her parents for Christmas; they are working long hours right up to Christmas Eve, don't have a car and there are no supermarket deliveries available so cannot get to anywhere to get themselves anything resembling a Christmas dinner - - - they don't know it yet, but I cheated a bit last night and placed a Prime Now order with a turkey crown in it and some veg, which we will drop off to their doorstep (assuming her mum hasn't beaten us to it, in which case we will freeze it) - the timing of the announcement is more of a problem than the announcement itself in my opinion.

Our surgery phoned us to ask whether we were coming in for our flu vaccine. They said we had made the appointment by text and hadn't turned up. They went very quiet when I asked when they had received a text from us as we don't have mobiles. :heehee:

If they're going to text us to come in for the coronavirus vaccine I'm not sure what happens when they try to send it to us as they don't have a number to send it to.

I got a text specifically telling me NOT to contact the surgery for the Covid vaccine as NICS are apparently taking care of it. Who the hell NICS are, I have no idea.

Must be a similar organisation, FC, to the American version with a letter change around, but I don't think Mark Harmon is running it.:dunno::doh::heehee:

Regarding the vaccine, remind me how many doses they have?
And they are banking an awful lot on the Oxford one getting approved, if it don't we could be in tier 4 for years.
They keep mentioning "THE" vaccine, which one is that and will they all work on the "NEW" strain?

Lots of ifs, and they have already stated the Oxford one is not as effective as the Pfizer one.
