Mr S popped into Tesco today and toilet rolls were already depleted. Management have had the sense to ration them this time though.

Crowds clamber at mainline stations to gather up freebie newspapers. The rush is on, as once again. Toilet rolls are vanishing from supermarket shelves. Be thankful for constipation.

Being serious. 'As if i could be'. Back in my days of working on the parks department. A woman attendant of the kids playground once asked me. Mike. I'm not predudiced or anything like that but. I am forever collecting school milk bottles from the loos. What's going on? I had to explain. Many immigrants were now living in the area. When it came down to basic toilet issues. Having been to the toilet, they would wash their private parts. Whereas we tend to simply use some form of toilet paper and wipe ourself clean. I have to admit. Thier practice is so much more hygenic.

There were no shortages in Tesco at 3 a.m. this morning :blue thumb:.

I can't believe how cheaply they are selling a lot of the veg. I bought a 4lb 7oz cauli for 29p. Some poor farmer must be getting ripped off by the Tesco buyers.

It's probably not as cheap as @pete could get some produce. He could get it from a lorry driver off the back of a lorry. :roflol:

You also could've got 3Kg of brussel sprouts for just over a quid.

              Or provide suitable alternatives

This stuff I get from my neighbours for use as Cat Litter, which is the only thing I think it's fit for.

We have just had two deliveries from Asda. Last night for my daughter in law and ours this morning. No shortages and just a substitute on my Peroni beer. So we have all our fresh veg and I will be drinking Indian beer instead of Italian beer :blue thumb:

A picture from the 'frost fair' which took place in a nearby town this Sunday gone. I just can't understand why the virus is still spreading.....

Just had some terrible news, my cousin who lived in Cardiff has died from covid. I lost another cousin to covid a few weeks ago.
There are so many friends and family who won't see Christmas this year.

About a week ago when I saw how fast infections were increasing locally, I told Mrs Scrungee if that continued we'd have cases in every street of our village.

A neighbour friend a few doors away died yesterday, her ive-in carer has tested positive, other neighbours who visited are now isolating. A fellow carer who visited and lives in the village is now isolating plus maybe the other elderly clients she cared for in the village.

Two GPs from the village surgery are isolating. Maybe they were in contact with local patients who've tested positive.

The village estate agent has tested positive, luckily friends who're using him to sell their house and view others haven't seen him in a couple of weeks, but other locals will have. We passed him within about 4 metres out dog walking just over a week ago.

                                Suddenly it's everywhere.
