Well yes, I'm not saying its too far, but where does that fit in with the stay at home message.

And all the news people were stating it would be door to door or mobile units.

Might happen yet, I dont know.

And you believed them, with NHS being as overstretched as it is>:dunno::doh:

It fits in where the Stay at Home message goes on to say you can go out for essential reasons. I'm sure everyone would like the personal service of a Home visit for the vaccination but sometimes.......

Lets not bring religion into this.;)

I dont think the NHS are doing the testing, its volunteers, police and the fire service, so they say.

This was one of the opinion pieces in the paper today.
          "
"EU vaccine threat shows we need to produce them in Canada
Over the weekend, the European Union put controls on vaccines leaving its member countries. That would include Belgium where Pfizer is made and Spain where Moderna is produced. The EU has a list of countries that are exempted but Canada isn’t on the list. So, while EU officials are saying they won’t block shipments to Canada now, the fact is that they could at any point."

Well, we're already reduced to getting zero vaccines this week. Nada. Thanks to our Master of Ineptitudeness.

So it seems the article is valid about shutting us out from future vaccines or at best, keeping us to a minimum until everyone in the EU has had theirs. I say this because of what I see happening over there right now. Protectionism doesn't seem to be limited to the US.

I hesitate to say it, but I really think that we have three bullies in the room now. China, EU and the US.

          Sad.

Forgot to mention, that we have now dropped from 23rd in line to 30th. This is real. Not an opinion piece!

@pete was talking about being tested as the S African strain is in his area, it was on the news about door to door testing and asking people to stay at home even more.

Different to being vaccinated as I think you are saying.

I've just looked on facebook at the local council and they show a smaller area than was stated on the news.
Apparently they are not doing this side of the main road.

I suppose they have to stop somewhere.:roflol:

I had a text inviting me to have regular Covid Tests. I've had my first Vaccine and only go to my local Tesco Express ( 5 min walk away) once a week since March, so there is no way I'm going to go out to get regular tests at a centre miles away.

Sorry if this sounds bad, but everything that comes into this house is cleaned with Anti-bac and the post is left for a few days..........So I think I've done/doing my bit.

If I was working I'd seriously consider taking a detour and getting a test, but as I'm not anymore and really only go shopping I dont see the point in the extra journey.

Heartbreaking to hear of Sir Tom's passing, after all that he has been through during his life he deserved to pass away peacefully in his own bed. God bless you , sweet dreams xx.
