I've jab-ed bullocks, cows, sheep and pigs not a problem but with pigs they can have a nasty bite so watch out for the snappy end with teeth

If i could get the vac i'd do myself no problem or get it from the vets as they don't faff about and seeing people brecking the rules i'm still not going anywhere near a Doc or a hospitel

Interesting to hear on the beeb this morning that there have also been incidences of blood clots for those who have had the Pfizer vaccine. But strangely, this hasn't made any difference to the vaccine roll out or reported much in the media.

I also find it odd that the AZ vaccine has been developed in the UK and is produced by a UK/Swedish company - whilst the Pfizer vaccine was developed in Germany and is produced by a US company.

I'm trying not to make a link here - but let's just say - I'm glad I was in the leave camp when it came to the referendum.

Portugal has stopped the AZ too. We haven't had ours yet so don't know what is available. To be honest, I don't care.

Its come down from well over 300 people, known to be infected, per 100,000 in my town to just 21.

Just to clarify for those who don't know, at 72 I have never had a cold and twice the flu more than 20 years ago. By misfortune I broke my hip slipping in Aldi shearing it fully at the neck of my femur so had my hip replaced in December 2014. In March 2018 I had my knee replaced due to many misfortunes (slipped on cobblestone subluxing my kneecap ... meaning knocking it off it's rocker ... tripped up a step knocking the new hip stem through my femur, fracturing my hip in four places and being in a car accident on the way to hospital. I eventually got e-Coli* in my hip and thigh and had my replacement hip removed and debrided and was hipless for five months on very strong antibiotics, in hospital for 42 days and bedridden for 18 months total. I can now walk 12 steps unaided ... a miracle in itself. I have Osteoporosis.

Does anyone think I want an injection for anything at the moment, I live remotely and only see a few very close friends who have been with me on my journey.

                        * I asked my Infectious Diseases Doctor how I got it. He said it lives in everyone's stomach and when I had the new hip my e'Coli friend said "hey, what is that new thing here" and invaded. When it was caught I had perhaps two months to live. I went down to 50 kilos. My Surgeon is always concerned it may have taken liking to my new knee! My bloods were checked every two weeks. He is brilliant and sees me promptly if need be.

Best thing, I am getting back to gardening slowly sitting down with the help of my incredible T'other Half.

I will never mention this again as I am in recovery mode, I am ...
Progress ....jpeg taking One step ....jpeg

                          I'm getting a bit confused.
First the EU suspend the use of AZ vaccine for the second time.
And now they threaten us with stopping vaccine leaving the EU because they are not getting their fair share of the AZ vaccine.:rolleyespink:

Von der Leyen was prattling on about how it should be a two way street.
Maybe someone should ask her why it is so difficult for our companies to export to the EU?

And why was she speaking in English, am I reading too much into this, or was it in English for our benefit?

They just said they have loads of it in EU countries and they are not using it and apparently the USA has 30 odd million doses hanging around because they haven't cleared it for use yet.

This EU/Covid thing is like an episode of the Twilight Zone. The next we know Rod Serling will be holding a press conference.

When the cards are down it demonstrates how crop they really are.
