    Spoke too soon!

Went for a 3.5 mile dog walk a couple of hours after jab, then later on did an hours work at plot, was pricking out seedlings untill 20:00 and felt fine.

Went for a 4+ mile dog walk this morning and felt a bit tired, and then by mid morning got to the "don't drive or operate machinery" stage of feeling tired and unable to concentrate. Think it's passed now.

My parents who are both in there 80’s have had both there Pfizer injections, my mum only had a bit of a sore arm like the flue jab and my dad just had cold like symptoms for a day, I’ve had both jabs now and I was like my dad but felt great two days later and I didn’t even feel the injections as apparently it’s a very fine needle, good luck everyone and please don’t read to much into it :spinning:

Just got back from my 1st AZ jab. The conversation went something like this:

Doctor: "Would you like the injection in the left or right"
          Me: "Left cheek please"
Doctor: "I meant your left or right arm"
          Me: :heehee:
Doctor:  - "How about your left arm?"
          Me: "Yes, thank you Doctor"

I thought that it would bring a bit of light heartedness to the situation - it didn't . Hey ho.

Mind you, I did thank the Nurse on the way out for the cracking job the NHS are doing - so not a total loss.

Just a thought on the current rules.

Yesterday we had four friends round for lunch, to meet in the back garden as per the rules.

During that time, on two separate occasions, other friends turned up to pick things up. One was to pick up two trays of plants (waiting ready for them in the car port) and the other for their 200 runner bean seeds that I had added to my order for him.

Both of them, at different times, walked through to the back garden to let me know they were there. Neither of them were within 30ft of our other friends but each time there were seven of us in the garden. Neither time were by arrangement (I had told them a week ago that their goodies were here and they could pop in when they like).

Were we, inadvertently, breaking the rules? To make it slightly more complicated, these were commercial situations as we were selling the things for the charity. People drop in all the time for plants.

I shouldn't worry about it as there are lots of people breaking the rules even worse, even people who work in medical jobs, just yesturday 3 household meet up, all people went inside a small house for over an hour, 4+ baby people turned up 5 + baby people left

No, that is not breaking the rules. If your unexpected visitors were just picking up and leaving immediately.
It's no different to having the postman or parcel person turning up.

My wife spent Saturday and Sunday with lots of people, some she knew but many she’s never seen before. probably 500 people, so it’s ok to work in a supermarket, her boss is always looking for loop holes to get his workers to work more hours for less money if their ill or not!!

Up to 14 days ago we had nobody in my locality who caught the virus,..this surprised me as most people i met didn't wear a mask,..however i wear one all the time,..now several people have the virus quite close to where i live,..some have had the anti virus injection and were hospitalised,..i was offered it on Friday last and turned it down,..firstly because of the heart attack i had last March even though the surgery suggested i would be safe,..secondly due to the amound of people who developed bad results,..i never get colds or flu,.. so hopefully luck will be with me where the covid is concerned

Neither do I but I go front of the queue for throat and tummy upsets! Some pollen is fond of me too! :heehee:

We haven't been called yet for the shots, they said April sometime. Portugal only had 193 cases reported yesterday and 4 deaths. Algarve had 8 cases and we have 10 in hospital, 5 in ICU and 1 on ventilator.

We came out of Easter Lockdown at 5am this morning and have extended keeping the border to Spain closed for another 15 days.

I don't know anyone who has developed bad results through the vaccination, apart from24 to 48 hour flu like sympton. Are you sure the vaccinated people were actually hospitalised? Not sure on the incidence of this in the UK. I would strongly recommend people to have the vaccination you have not only a responsibility to yourself, but also to your community. But it will always be the individuals choice.
