          @clanless

I just read an article on the BBC that indicates something completely different to your conclusion and is a very positive reason for getting vaccinated:

Brain clots 'more likely' with Covid infection than vaccine

Can see the goal posts being moved yet again.
Talking about a new strain running riot in India, and India is not on the red list of countries when you come back from there.
Apparently it has at least a couple of variations that make it more likely to get round the vaccine.
Think it's already here, hardly surprising.

If you saw the crowds, on the TV , in India you can understand why it's killing thousands.

We had 33 flights come here in the last two weeks that have been proven to be carrying people who tested positive for the new strain.

Our idiot at the top has made a deal with India that we have this mutual agreement about flying back and forth - they call it their air bridge. Absolutely outrageous when you consider we are very far down the list of countries as far as having vaccinated the population.

They are still booking first jabs right away for those over 65 and at the same time setting a date 4 months down the road for the second.

I understand that the risk of clots is higher if you are on birth control meds. .. kinda lets out the over 60 crowd I would think!

Yeah air bridges, it's all crazy.
I've been sitting in the garden watching the planes go over.
Lots more activity than last year at this time.
You have to wonder who all these people are who are travelling at this time and why.

And this just in. Health Canada has quietly advised border officers there is no need to screen visitors from Brazil as we already have a large number of people who have the variant... :hate-shocked: And it is mainly the ridings in Toronto that helped this government get in. They, Toronto, are now getting 2,000 new cases per day!

I will try again to book a jab.... sheesh

Just think about this, carefully, for a minute...

The Queen of this great country, our wonderful 94 year old monarch who is vaccinated, cannot be within 2-metres of her son and one day King, Prince Charles who is also vaccinated, at the funeral of her husband.

To say they have all been fairly well shielded in addition to vaccination is a bit of an understatement - - so exactly why are they not allowed within 2-metres of each other? Are they worried that The Queen or Prince Charles might catch Covid? From who? From where?

Stansted airport, near me, had 24m passengers in 2019 and 3m passengers in 2020. The air here is much cleaner now :blue thumb:

I think you can still catch the virus and pass it on even when you are vaccinated, you just don't get bad symptoms.

It's probably because if they were allowed to flout the rules that would be the end of all this and they would lose total control over the rest of us.
Something that is likely to happen in the near future anyway.

I certainly agree with that - but with one very small alteration:- you're much less likely to get bad symptoms. Someone, 92 years old, I know of in a town near here had both jabs and almost a month later had bad symptoms but was treated OK at home. :blue thumb:
