We don't at the moment but I think they are looking in to it for future doses.

I understand what you are saying and it all boils down to common sense, you and your sister would hardly raise your risk levels. But if the government said 'do as you want' there would be many who would go to extremes as common sense is in short supply in certain people.

My point is the effect it is having on some people, people are scared to leave their houses, or make a wide berth of others.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be free to do those thing if they want to, I just think it has been drummed into everyone for over a year now, and it is the governments way of coercion, in making the emphasis on doing these things for the sake of others, rather than for yourself which is wrong.

I experienced that over the last week we went to a shop for the first time in a year and it did feel strange. Certainly was glancing at people to check if they had masks and trying to choose aisles that looked empty, Everyone was good actually but I didn't feel comfortable. I have become kind of institutionalized so I am sure many feel the same and probably much worse.

Not sure if we are being coerced against our will, I would rather keep being cautious for the time being, it's not just yourself taking a risk it's the added risk of spreading it to others.

I think that we should still wear masks and still use hand cleaner when going shopping or anywhere else until we're all vaccinated.
But I was talking to a woman that i meet sometimes walking her dog and she said that she would still wear a mask and use the hand gels a long time after she's had her second jab.

              Is that so John?
You see I've been carrying on as normally as they would allow, so going into a crowded space is something I've been doing all the time in Morrisons etc.

I hate all this silly queuing outside, its ridiculous, only two people at a time in a shop, half the time you cant work out how many are in there until you get in, then they throw you out.

Apart from messing around with the mask I've carried on the same like thousands of others.

But the government line of stating the mask is not there for you, it is there to protect others, is what I find so annoying.
We have obviously been told this in order to get the public to police it.

If a mask stops droplets from leaving my mouth, it must also stop droplets entering my mouth.

I said the exact same in my earlier post too @Logan , if not until this time next year I will definitely be wearing one this winter. I will then evaluate the situation to suit myself and will make my own mind up and won't just follow the lead of others.

I have no problem going to the stores. They all have hand sanitizer at the entrance and I walk around to get my shopping with my mask in place and smelling of alcohol. Well, isopropyl type. EDIT: And I go at a time when it's mostly all wrinklies like me there.

I had to giggle when I was getting vaccinated the other day. They had us in rows with chairs facing the front, six feet between me and the next row and the same space between me and the person in front or behind. I was the only one in my row (no I did not let a stinky one go..) and as I sat there trying to amuse myself for the 15 minute after shot wait so I'm reading the posters.

One states that if I have to sneeze, cover my nose and mouth with my arm or a tissue. I'm sat there with a mask on! :rolleyespink:

I've got a tickly cough, had it for years, I think its a side effect of one of the BP tablets I take.

The cough, for some reason, always gets worse when wearing a mask, oh no, its not a mask, its a "face covering":biggrin:, anyway, you cant cough with one of those on, so I have to pull it down to have a proper cough.

Having lungs that are best described as 'shot to bits' it really doesn't take much to make me get wheezy and start coughing and I am a hell of a lot worse when wearing a mask. I do still wear one for the odd occasion that I am somewhere that requires them as I cannot be bothered with the battle that would ensue from claiming exemption - - but, I do take a little bit of joy when I start coughing and everyone starts looking at me like a leper.

You'd love the French version, @CanadianLori  Masks, gel, distancing, queueing and then seats carefully spaced, right up to the point where you're called for the Doc interview. Then, all caution thrown to the four winds! Like yours, in rows, but pre-Covid rows....chairs (and people) touching, all of 18" between faces. Apparently, just the prospect of speaking to a doctor confers immunity :roflol: The whole process, which they carefuly explain will take 25 minutes, took over an hour. Vive La France :yahoo:
