They put a label on my lapel 2:55... at least it didn't have, "Hello, my name is", above the time!

 

Masks are life savers! I'm touching wood here. Without a mask my daughter would probably have developed Covid by now. She lives in Canada and at the moment she has no chance of a vaccine, not only because she is in a younger age group but because of the mess their government has created. My daughter is a driving examiner and works in the confined space of a car with others day in day out. A mask and constant vehicle cleaning between each driving test is the only protection she has. The same probably applies to taxi drivers in every country, and anyone else that has to work in a confined space with others.

 

True, taxi drivers are in a sector where developing Covid is considerably high according to ONS

Well I sat there for bit, but felt a bit stupid as everyone else was driving straight off.

 

We have to wait for 15mins afterwards at our own GP surgery, everyone is given an 'egg timer' and once it goes off you return it to a box to be sanitized and you go on you way. You never know if you will get a negative reaction so this is very reassuring,especially if you have driven there.

 

Well done @shiney ,it's being responsible ,not just for yourself but towards others too.

 

My attention span doesn't last that long.

 

A lady from a village near Delhi said " of the 2700 people in our village, half have covid symptoms . We have no medical facilities here whatsoever."

 

Yes that's what we're going to do.

 

I didn't have to wait after mine because hubby brought me and he was driving the car and I got a sticker to say that I have but it didn't stick very well on my jacket.

Don't have to wait at the supermarkets now, well hubby doesn't and I don't go anywhere else, only that I do need to have my eyes tested, should have gone last autumn but I have to go into the shopping centre but didn't fancy that.

 

I wasn't driving either @Logan but it makes no difference here, I still could've had a bad reaction in the car and if hubs was stuck in traffic...well I dread to think!! Not just for me but for the worry it would've inflicted on my poor hubs too.

I don't mind going out, I just wear my mask and gloves and carry sanitizer in my bag. Drive me nuts to stay in , despite having our walks I like to go into town once a week just to see 'life'. Hope to soon meet up with friends again for coffee,cake and chat. Not too sure how I feel about resuming our cinema outings yet though . We were planning on going to Aqua Aerobics at our local swimming pool too before the 1st lockdown...not sure about how I feel about that either at the moment.

 

Latest Welsh round up - we're getting there - the lock down and vaccine are paying off big time:

More than half of the Covid patients left in hospital are counted as "recovering" and while they are no longer testing positive, they are either still unable to be discharged or are being treated for other conditions.

Meanwhile, there are ONLY THREE Covid patients in critical care or on ventilation. Two of these were in the Cardiff and Vale health board area and the third in Swansea Bay.

There have been no Covid patients in critical care in Cwm Taf Morgannwg hospitals for 16 days.
