Some of our shops last week had marked off spaces at the checkout with red tape on the floor...Superdrug was the first one I saw....good on them all!:dbgrtmb:

My friend went to the dentist and in the waiting room a man came in with a tape measure and measured the distance between him and my friend before sitting down. Perhaps we ought to take a tape measure with us along with alcohol wipes.

I went to the dentist last week and it was fairly busy .After checking in I went and used the hand sanitizer and sat down, during the next 5mins lots of other people got up and used it too! Can't understand why the two receptionists couldn't have reminded everyone as they check in with them.

Well I'm still having no problems.

I live right on the outskirts of a large ( 100,000 plus population ) town. I never shop in supermarkets because they're all on out of town sites ( Aldi × 2, Asda, B&M Superstore, Co-op, Farmfoods, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Tescos × 3 ).

I find that by shopping locally and in the old town ( B & M, Best Buy, Costcutter × 2, Heron Foods, Iceland, Mark's & Spencer, Nysa , Poundland × 2 plus independent butchers, greengrocers ) there are no shortages ( except for toilet rolls, soaps etc ) and people have a greater respect for one another.

There were people in the town the other day queueing up nicely at the greengrocers ( they do a daily trip to the Wholesale Markets in Birmingham and say there are no shortages at all ) in the square saying they'd never seen so much stuff and why are people behaving like idiots in the supermarkets.

PS, we also have 7 Tesco Locals but I don't know what they're like in this current situation as I never use them.

I forgot to add on to the end of my above post, and this is my own personal opinion................

All you good people out there try and use your local high street and independent traders more because I feel that at the end of this, this could prove to be the way forward in revitalising our town centres and high streets. And stop the bullying tactics of the big superstores.

My sister decided to pop into our local little supermarket as she wanted to avoid taking the bus.....but their shelves were very low on stock and in fact she came away empty handed, although she wasn't fussy and was well prepared to buy alternatives.

Everyone wants to be a rebel!

If there's a total lockdown then frankly I'm right in the poo. I NEED my new place to be built so I can move out of the rentals and cannot afford to stay renting while the house remains uninhabitable

                            Hello all

I hope you are all well.

I have just got back from a Doctors (Nurse) appointment for my B12 Injection, my sister took me as I would not be able to get there otherwise, the Surgery is only in the Village and I usually rely on the Buses but there is no way I am going on the Bus to be surrounded by who knows what.

The Doctors are screening everyone via the Intercom before being allowed to enter.

The waiting room was empty of Patients and it was requested that I used the hand sanitiser before I went in to the Nurse and also on the way out of the Surgery.

On the way home my sister stopped at the local Morrisons so I could see if there were any supplies I could pick up.

There were shortages but no too bad, a bit worse that what it would be on a busy week day.

There were a few security guards walking around the store reminding people to leave at least 1m between each other.

I managed to pick up a few things so that was good.

                            Stay well :)

                            Thanks

                            Kevin

Just printed out a letter from my company to have with me to justify my movements in the community. Heard another friend in the human services field /another company, got the same type letter. interesting. /coincidence or something else. Stay safe all.
