Load of Chinese rubbish as usual.

 

I hate these paper ones that come on my individual juices and chocolate milk.

 

Cant stand drinking anything through a straw, whatever it is made of.
Most stupid invention of all time expect for those that have a medical problem.

 

I use one when I'm at the pub. It serves as a swizzle stick for my spritzers (yes, they let me bring my own mix and include a large glass, a jug of ice cubes and a straw with my glass of red wine) and it also keeps my lipstick off of the glass rim. At home, I don't wear lipstick and no one is watching so I just use my finger to swizzle..

And you need a nice chubby straw to pea shoot!

 

Oops, I went off on a tangent.

Our kids are going back to school on Wednesday. Usually it would be Monday but the school board needs an extra 2 days to be prepared... don't know where they were the last two years and why they haven't figured out procedures/protocols as yet, but there it is..

 

Our schools are closed till the 10th.

 

Why, what happens after the 10th?

 

They can return to school. A lot of our numbers are school related but we are now vaccinated from age 5 up.

 

Really what I was getting at is all these deadlines that governments seem to pick out of thin air as if after a certain date all will be ok.
We have passed more mile stones than ever, in the last 2yrs, and still seem to be bogged down in statistics that are being thrown at us everyday.

Well deserved - even more so for fighting through the pandemic.

A long-serving paramedic at the Welsh Ambulance Service has been recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours List.

Paramedic and Duty Operations Manager Jenny Lewis has been awarded the Queen’s Ambulance Service Medal for distinguished service, it was announced tonight.

 

I think that is about PCR tests.
The ones, I think we were questioning, are the lateral flow tests that most people are using.

 

We have a number of these lateral flow test kits, my Mrs got them from the NHS prior to the roll out of the vaccinations. I can confirm, after doing a couple of tests with orange juice and coke cola does not give a positive result
