If you believe what you are told it doesn't matter what mask you wear, it's what everyone else wears that matters.

Remember, the official line is, the mask is not for your benefit it is for everyone else's.

Well, if you wear a mask, at least you don't have to worry if you've got garlic breath.

                Our latest set of rules:

"Individuals with COVID-19 who are vaccinated, as well as children under 12, will only be required to isolate for five days following the onset of symptoms. Isolation for these individuals can end after the five-day period as long as their symptoms have improved for at least 24 hours

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated or are immunocompromised will still be required to isolate for 10 days.

Individuals who work or live in high-risk health-care settings should not attend work for 10 days.

If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID 19 and you are fully vaccinated, have no symptoms and don't live with a positive case, the province is now recommending monitoring for symptoms for 10 days."

And they are saying PCR tests are only for those who have tested positive on a rapid test plus have serious symptoms and are considered high risk.

In other words, unless you're really sick and need hospitalization, get over it!

Originally, and possibly still the case, they dont want the general public using up PPE stocks that the NHS might need.
Hence the "old sock" advice we were originally given.

Apparently Omicron immunity provides good protection against illness from Delta.

It's pushing out Delta already - I don't understand why Boris isn't removing all restrictions.

I see that the number of people dying in hospital with covid is increasing - well yes it will - because more people with non covid related illnesses are being infected. On top of this the GP's are not seeing people - so hospital admissions are going to increase.

Drill down and look at the number of people dying from covid - it's level to going down - there is no third wave. It looks like the South African doctors were telling us the truth.

Hospital admissions always increase at this time of year, likewise more folks tend to die in winter than they do in summer

Last year at this time they were coming out with statistics stating "excess" deaths.
                      Might be worth a look.

That's not the case around here. GPs are extremely busy so it's difficult to get a face to face appointment but they will see people who need more than a telephone chat. They are referring patients to hospital as per normal. What I don't know is how busy hospitals are, I'm assuming they are not doing much routine stuff so waiting lists will be growing.
