Have a look at the number of people in hospital in your area @wiseowl, around us that number is not too worrying even though cases are increasing dramatically.

It does look like there are plenty catching Covid but symptoms are mild for the vast majority - thanks @wiseowl

I don't want to scare anyone - but all I'm going to say is - make sure that you have your flu jab this year.

Because everyone has been in lock down due to Covid - there isn't as much natural flu immunity around - as there has been in 'normal' years. It's going to spread like wildfire.

I'm well aware that this virus is desperately trying to stay alive and latching on to anyone it can and yes it is weaker, similar to a cold but a cold to one person could be a killer to anyone vulnerable ,they're the ones I'm worried about...

But isn't that always been the case.
Surely if you are vulnerable you could catch any number of different viruses, colds and flu being pretty common ones.

My grandson is currently suffering from Covid, the second time in five months. He couldn't believe it the second time but a PCR test confirmed it.

There will not be another lockdown and they would be mad if they did.

The far east plus Australia and NZ literally stayed in lockdown for 18 months, as soon as they started to open up including international travel cases have gone through the roof.

South Korea was one country that kept cases and deaths well under control, well 2.8m cases in the last 7 days is proof that you can not stop the inevitable.

It was meant as a joke.;)

I was of a mind that the virus couldn't be stopped 2 years ago, but of course at that time it was considered Negative thinking and defeatist.

Lockdowns were only there to save the NHS from being inundated, not really to save lives as such, as "they" knew it would never be wiped out.
But after scaring the living daylights out of the biggest part of the population "they" didn't want to tell us.
Makes you wonder if the way Putin runs things is actually that much different from how our lot does it.

                        We are treated like mushrooms.

I don't think the govt was hiding anything from us 2 years ago, at that time very little was known about it. We didn't even know how to treat it, science has made leaps and bounds since then. It's no worse than a bad cold now but two years ago without vaccinations and drugs the only treatment was ventilators and all they did was prolong the inevitable.

Well, yes I agree they knew very little, but they did know wiping it out was not an option, worldwide.
I do get the impression we were "fed" certain information, as time went by, to make us act in certain ways and do specific things.

Vaccines have played a very large part.

Wales are going to find out tomorrow if all covid restrictions - including the use of face masks in shops - will end on the 28th March.

I have noticed that there are fewer and fewer people wearing face masks in shops - we now need Mark to match the rules with the reality.

My niece has covid - she described it as being a 'bit under the weather'. Everyone will at some point get covid - the only decision that people need to make is whether they want the protection of a vaccine.

There are still people out there who have refused the jab - perhaps they are relying upon herd immunity from those who have been jabbed? Still a risky strategy.
