Seems everyone gets Pfizer except us. I read on a pharmacy's website that the NHS recommends Pfizer for a booster. Moderna can be given at half dose. I think I have found a place in Tamworth that does Pfizer, but their phone didn't answer properly. Fed up with the whole business.

Well we have been done - no choice other than Moderna AKA Spikevax. Everywhere round here is getting the same. We went to the hospital and it was very quiet. Apparently once delivered and boxes opened they must use it within 7 hours. And it does seem they don't know what they are getting according to the man on the door. So just keeping an eye on hubby as he had a bad reaction 2 years ago.

We finally managed to book an appointment for the Covid vaccine at our local hospital for mid November.
No idea which it will be but we've always been given a little card stating the type in previous years once done. Whether the same will apply this year is unknown.

We weren't given a card this time. Maybe they are now assuming everybody can access their NHS records on-line!

We were given cards and the lady put the wrong date on them.

Sanofi Pasteur is another supplier/vaccine then @wiseowl . Never heard of them before.

Good evening @cactus_girl just found this:smile:

Sanofi Pasteur is the vaccines division of the French multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi. Sanofi Pasteur is the largest company in the world devoted entirely to vaccines.

My theory is that at least some of the arm pain/stiffness around the injection site is a reaction to having something injected into the muscle, pretty much irrespective of what was in the injection.
Previously I've had covid and flu vaccines separately so I know they both make my arm sore for two or three days, and having both together in the same arm didn't make it any more sore than having just one of them, so that's a win I think.
