        This is Cosmos Gazebo White , it grows to about waist height. Which is a size I like for my garden.

          Is anyone else having problems with aphids? I went out today and mine are suddenly covered in them! Not quite sure what to do...

          I have had one or two of my Cosmos plants attacked by black-fly (black aphids?), I don't really like chemicals in the garden due to having 4 cats, so I use the 'old soapy water' trick !

          Put a couple of drops of washing up liquid in the bottom of a 500ml spray bottle, fill with luke warm water and then after replacing the top give it a good shake to mix. Spray the little beasties with the solution, it stops them breathing as they breath through their skin. You may need to re-visit every week to keep in check, but I have found it works for me.
