Will there be a category for 'most wildlife friendly' garden/container? That's an idea I had a while ago when I first learnt of the plight of the bees. I had it in my head that if I could work out how to organise such a thing, you could have kids planting up containers with plants that are good for bees and butterflies, and have a contest to see who gets the most bees and/or butterflies visiting their mini garden on the day.

Yes clue, I think I've covered every type, from container and basket garden, courtyard, wildlife, natural, contemporary, cottage, kids, veg, fruit, med, tropical, etc, etc.... Loads of categories for everyone, even shop fronts! The more the merrier!

The judges would have to wear wellies in our road, so i don't think it's worth entering

Hi - Al N, sounds like a great idea, it's exactly the sort of thing we were trying to do for Cultivation Street to get local communities involved. We are also doing a kids show for Cultivation Street as well called Cultivation School - giving a prize to the best school garden.

Thanks Sean, the more people involved the better, I think as well as the idea, I think it'll be a good way to meet new friends.
