Hi, there, my little Scottish Thistle, thought you went to bed. Yes, I would like to paint that, my sort of thing.

Have a commission or two in the meantime!

Do you know, I have not picked up a paintbrush since Friday ... think Algarve Sunset did me in a bit! Why does one start doing this at my time of life, one asks oneself?

Will be back on track tomorrow, was having a bit of a rest today and being Ms Photographer instead of Fada do Pincel!

As usual a nice collection, still looking a bit crowded, but other than that, NICE. :D

Have done that painting that was requested by Waco, K-G and dendro and the WOW factor is not there, so serious re-work is on for tomorrow.

Think Algarve Sunset has put a damper on things for the moment. BM may get it tomorrow or the next day so I'm cringing in anticipation the real thing has the WOW in it.

pete, there would be other people perhaps staying in that pousada so you may have to camp out in the trees! [IMG]

Today we went to Ferragudo, a small fishing village across the mouth of the River Arade from Portimao. I didn't take any photos of the village as there was a car boot sale in progress ... people!

So we just went to the beach for a stroll.

This is a favourite restaurant of ours which we like to take visitors to on the beach, O Nau (the ship) but it's closed until April ...

... the beach bar next door, which is open (and no we did not visit it ...

... lots of people on the beach, woman and dog ...

    ... a nice little hole in a rock ...

... which leads you here ...

Portimao, the biggest fishing harbour in the Algarve ...

Portimao and the Castle at Ferragudo ...

    ... to be continued ...

Thank you dendro and Kandy. The sky was very "deep" today, especially around the sea.

May have a go at that hole in the rock with the paintbrush, Kandy! Isn't that castle ... or maybe it's a fortress fabulou

The colours of the Irises were incredible and if anyone can identify that blue spired succulent plant, I'd be most appreciative.

Have just come back on and seen your pictures LofL, absolutely fab! You obviously had a wonderful day out and the castle/fortress is super. Would make a nice painting I'm thinking. The flowers in the roundabout are pretty and that wonderful old olive tree.
