stunning pictures LoL just breathtakingly gorgeous well done

 

Thank you, dendro and rosa. I enjoy sharing the pictures of this beautiful country with you guys.

Next week is out though as it's my birthday/our anniversay so we're lunching with friends ... but will have the camera with me ... just in case.

 

We were just a bit here and there today.

First we went into Silves, the old Moorish capital of Algarve, which is dominated by the old castle. The large orangey yellow building is the Fabrica do Ingles (the English Factory) which processed cork many years ago and is now a functions hall and restaurants. I didn't know until I came home that Lidl is proudly sitting smack in the centre front of the picture ...

Babe, it was breathtaking ... it's the "other kind" ... we had to come to a screeching halt so I could jump out of the car to photograph it! :D

 

Fantastic pics, LoL! :D Such a gorgeous sky colour..... And that pic with the boat and the bridge - great stuff!

And those Melias are exquisite! Remember our conversations about Melias a couple of months ago?

Nope! But it's beside a stately home..... that's as near as I can manage!

Met our friend for lunch today at our "local" after shopping ...

Ribalta at Ribeira Alta ...



We sat outside to the far right but didn't photograph that as there was a van in the way!

In the carpark across the road (Melia, Persian Lilac, and Lantana camara) ...



Would have photographed the palms etc but there were vehicles in the way ... so inconsiderate these folk! :rolleyes:

 

We went to Marinha Beach today. I'll start with the amazing Agaves (this is for you, Babe) ...

















Like the young folk in some countries carve their names / initials in tree trunks, here they do it on Agave leaves.
