    ... Carvoeiro continued ...

This is Algar Seco, massive natural rock formations just to the east of Escondidinhas where people dive off the cliffs, scube dive and snorkle ...

The bar/restaurant in the rocks is owned by our friend of 22 years. It is about 2-3 minutes walk from our apartment. The rude-looking rock formation is called A Boneca (the doll) which is the name of the bar/restaurant.

Yesterday we went to Praia dos Tr©s Irm£os (Beach of the Three Brothers) in Alvor for lunch with friends going back to the UK and friends recently arrived.

These were some views from our table ...

Thanks, borrowers ... pleased you enjoyed our absolute stunning views.

Here are a couple of shots of Aloes taken today when we went out for lunch with the top down on the car in the glorious sunshine ... I know, I know, I'll shut up ...

This is just next to the restaurant where we had the most beautiful fish (in beer batter ) and chips (choice of fresh or mushy peas) we've ever had ... this includes England .... for Ã?£4.20 each. [IMG]

pete and Sis, as you can see, these Aloes were incredible ... I haven't looked to see what type they are but they are red. My friend, Anthia (from Bromley), had never seen such and was almost awestruck with them ... but, of course, I had my camera with me. [IMG]

We were walking from the restaurant after our lovely lunch to the building in the background of the third photo (Sis, you should recognise it) where Anthia bought lots of Christmas presents and a wonderful poncho for herself. And I bought another fabulous windchime. [IMG]

PS pete, the fish was seriously to die for ... all four of us said so.

My outings will be on different days of the week for the next month at least.

Today there was a visit to Praia de Luz.

    Beautiful Sis!

The last couple of pics with the red Aloes against the blue sky and the bit of green are so pretty, like out of a picture book.

Seeing that African Hemp - did your cutting take after all? Unfortunately, mine didn't.

The Maple Rose ones did though - both of them!

Thank you, Sis, it was a beautiful day as you can see ... and hopefully you will be enjoying such in Malta tomorrow. [IMG]

No, the cutting did not take and perhaps it was a good thing as these shrubs are extremely large and I couldn't cope with such. Here is a close-up of one of the flowers ... I know you know what they look like but others may not! [IMG]

Hurray, hurray, hurray ... what more can I say? xxxxxxxxxxxx

I can imagine you there with your double expresso and the boys running in the sand in front of you ... and the big smiles all around. [IMG] [IMG] xx

Just caught up with this thread, stunning pictures of a beautiful part of the world [IMG]

I would love to eat at the restaurant where you had the fish and chips,I would never tire of looking at that view. Incidently, putting beer in batter makes it much lighter and fluffier.
