Never heard of 3D but love it. I have pearlised acrylic and gold/silver/bronze ones too. Great fun.

@Snorky85 no need to apologise, people like to see what others are doing. It inspires some off us to revisit our drawing so not boring.
That picture is excellent. You’ve captured the shading perfectly the petals particularly stand out from the background as if you could pick it up. :dbgrtmb:

I’m trying to keep busy since losing my lovely Izzy.... (collected her ashes yesterday)

So, cross-stitching my Santa is now complete. I’m now doing the metallic back-stitching, before the beading commences. (This photo shows the project when there were still a few sections of cross-stitching to be done)

I’ve also done a little drawing....

Oh Sian :grphg: Good idea to try and keep busy.

That cross stitch santa is superb. It is so detailed-it must have taken ages! Have you any idea how many hours it has taken?

The drawings are fantastic. Have you drawn them from a photograph or do you just draw them from your own vision?

Lovely work Snorky and Sian! :)

I'm sorry to hear about Izzy Sian, our furry friends are missed so much when they leave us.

                    Thank you!

To be honest, I have no idea how many hours - I started it in November, and do about an hour or night, sometimes more. I did quite a bit during the day as well over Christmas, when Izzy was a little poorly.... I’ve just ordered some more of the metallic thread, so that I can finish it.

I use a reference photo for my drawings, I need the prompt to help me remember the detail, and sometimes I’ve never seen what I’m drawing, like the quokka!

He he, had to share with the fellow crafters. Last night I ordered some special Derwent watercolour pencils, plus some other goodies....pens, elec pencil sharpener, van gough washi tape.

And an embroidery starter kit

Wow you have gone to town. Would be interested to know what you think of the watercolour pencils. Might be another medium for me to try :)

Well, thought it was just a waste buying cheapies then wanting the better ones. Exciting!

I will let you know about these watercolour pencils. They are supposed to be the best, plus they're a UK firm so good to support them too.

Thanks @Snorky85 . I have the Derwent ordinary coloured pencils and they are very good. With art materials it’s worth spending that little bit extra.
